Just a short update for my subscribers—
As some of you know I like to interview some of the smartest people in the world, it’s fun for me and hopefully it’s been the same for some of them.
My method of interviewing is simple, I ask between 5-10 questions via email and the questions are typically not pre-written. It’s a back and forth dialogue. But though it’s simple, it’s also extremely time-consuming, with a lot of the people I ask to interview never actually pulling through to the end. So the people whose interviews do make it to publication are extremely special. They tend to be much more thoughtful and generous than average, and I personally think that these qualities have contributed in large ways to their outsized successes.
One of the best people I’ve ever interviewed was Andreessen Horowitz cofounder and CEO Ben Horowitz, an absolute cognitive giant. My first interview with him left an impression on me that will last a lifetime. He’s just a solid example of someone I’d like to emulate, and there aren’t many people I can say this about besides maybe the prophet Moses from the Torah.
So I can’t describe how cool it was when Ben recently agreed to do a series of interviews with me, which you guys will see soon. The series will cover a bunch of things I’ve been meaning to ask Ben for a while, and you should expect his wisdom to far exceed your best expectations. This will be groundbreaking and I’m very excited.
But anyway, just wanted to give this short update and share some of my excitement!
Looking forward to it. Love what you are putting together here, incidentally. Thanks.
